Digital rubbing (frottage numérique) is a technique developed north of Silicon Valley in the mid-aughts, to reveal the forms residing beneath virtual surfaces. Because less than 0% friction is attained during the process, the underlying dynamics of the imaginal realm are revealed with an unusually high degree of accuracy as they interact with the flow of linear time.
